The device that was illegally placed on my house in run by power line communications instead of being wireless. Most people think this is better than wireless, but it is not. At least with the wireless device, it’s possible to get far enough away from it not to affected by the radiation, but with PLC the dirty electromagnetic fields follow the electrical wiring throughout the entire house, so one cannot get far enough away.

Since my meter was installed, I have had constant ringing in my ears, hear a constant hum, heart palpitations, and headaches.

Please, anyone reading this, write to your local, state and federal representatives about these harmful and unsafe devices. Not only do they harm our health, they also are surveilllance devices which can be hacked. Electrical usage tells a great deal about the devices we use and whether we are at home or away. If your utility disrepects you enough to put one of these devices on your home against your will, they will surely sell your personal information for a buck. That information will not only be wanted by companies wishing to sell you something, it will also be wanted by those looking for patterns on when a resident is away from their home.

Smart meters in a neighborhood all “dither” which means their bursts of rf energy are staggered, resulting in a soup of exposure from all meters within your range, along with any bouncing off metal items. Within the course of playing outside, children could easily be close to the meters when they burst radiation. Each burst can disrupt cellular function, thus, this dithering keeps pounding away at living bodies.

By the way, Joey, our water meters send pulse EVERY FOUR SECONDS from every house around us. For someone sensitive, the combined signals are enough to make one’s own house unlivable. This is truly a CRIME. Even for people and pets not yet sensitized, that can change with long enough exposure.

Personally, since our local library put in WiFi, I can no longer be there more than about 10 minutes before I experience intense pain in my head. This dissipates in about 20 minutes after I get out of there. A number of librarians have had to quit their jobs because of similar reactions. One of the world’s largest libraries, the main one of Paris, France, removed their WiFi system because of symptoms it was causing. The field strengths, of course, were low.

The field strength is not the main factor to be concerned with. The frequencies involved are the most crucial thing.

In addition, research has shown that in some cases, exposure to a “small” amount of radiation causes more biological effect than exposure to a stonger field.

The Precautionary Prinlciple has not been adhered to before rolling out all the various communications technologies. No research has been done re the effect of chronic exposure to the RF signal from utility meters, so of course I cannot refer to it. Instead, the entire population is being used as guinea pigs.

In my area, each home’s meter broadcasts a signal of that home’s electricity usage every 6 seconds.

In some areas, the signals from the utility meters are “piggybacked” from one to another, to the pickup receiver, so that exposure is just about continuous.

Some of these meters have been installed so that they are just inches from the head of a sleeper inside the home. Some apartments have an entire bank of these meters outside their bedroom wall.

However, you have presumed that the radiation is only being broadcast from the meter itself, wheras the RF signal also rides on the building wiring and is broadcast from there throughout the building.

In California, where the public is far more informed about the health effects of exposure to communications frequencies, the installation of these meters has been widely protested, and some cities have imposed a moratorium on their installation.

EHS people go to great expense and effort to create a safe home environment for themselves. Do you really believe that a utility company has the right to install health-damaging equipment on our homes?

In other words, say you have a microwave tower to the north of you. Foil on the north wall will shield the house. However, if there is signal coming from any other direction in additon to north, the foil on the north wall will reflect that back at you.

Also, whatever radio and microwave frequencies have found a way onto the circuits in the house could pass these onto the foil and increase the broadcasting area considerably.

All remediation should be checked with appropriate meters, to make sure you are making things better, not worse.
